It has elliptical leaves which are deep olive green above, with pairs of thin rose-red lateral stripes on opposite ends of the midribs (whiten with age) and purple undersides. It bears ovoid spikes of white flowers with violet petal lobes. It thrives in well-drained humus rich soils with high moisture and loves partial shade. Use(s): It is suitable for pot planting. It can also be grown as a border plant and also among shrubs. |
